We found this video of a guy trying out bakukang, sand fleas or sand crabs para sa mga sotyal! He caught each with a net while kicking sand sa gitna ng dalampasigan, apparently madaling makakuha at yung iba soft shelled pa! Galing!

The Sand Crabs were cooked with butter and a sprinkle of sand. Fine, hinde nya nilagyan ng sand, libre na ng sandfleas yun. He didnt like it but we bet Filipinos can come up with a better dish! Cheers!
