Pulutan of the Week: Sticky Icky Ribs using Coke Vanilla

How can Asian Flavors come from Western Ingredients…

And that was just what happened, cooking western dish ribs but  ending up with Asian sweet flavors.

May mga Pinoy food din naman na gumagamit ng cola as an ingredient, the best one i could think of is that alamang you used to coat your fresh green mangoes during High School. That makes it balance the saltiness of the shrimp paste with the sweetness of the cola, so i-level up mo lang din by cooking your favorite Pinagoongang Baboy or Pork Stew in Sweet Shrimp Paste. Try this recipe above, it takes a bit of time and elbow grease basting the meat from time to time but its a great pulutan. Cheers!
