How to make a J’tois?
- Buy an affordable stylish and expensive looking Whiskey Decanter, we found ours at Lazada Philippines, but you may hit your local tiangge or vintage thrift shop for more choices.
- Pour a good amount of your favorite affordable alcohol into the decanter, for us its Andy Player Whisky or Emperador Brandy
- Place your decanter near the Sala (living room) beside a couple of whiskey cups and ice bucket with ice tong.
- Serve with flair: Put everything in a wooden or metallic serving tray with a little story of faraway place with a little old liquor store (sari-sari store pala) where you allegedly procure this amazing alcohol.
For the short and sweet story, here it is: May tropa kasi kaming biglang ginulat ng isa pang kaibigan namin sa pagbisita. Dinaan sa kwento na galing ang alak sa Brazil, served on the rocks to taste the notes and tones of the alcohol. “This is really really good!” Cheers!
