This year, Valentines’ Day fell on a Wednesday. Gitnang-gitna ng linggo and for most of us, may trabaho the day before, may trabaho the day itself, and, surprise! May pasok din the day after. So anuna? Nawalan ba kayong time and energy to prepare a romantic encounter with your significant other? If yes, worry not! Valentines’s Day may be over pero hindi pa tapos ang “maliligayang” araw 😉 ninyo.
Aphrodisiacs are substances that help stimulate sexual appetite. You don’t necessarily have to consume weird stuff or magpakahirap sa paghahanap nito since some of them can actually be found in everyday cooking. You just need to use them in the right recipes.
The mere scent of Vanilla induces relaxation and puts the body and mind at ease. It also boasts of an euphoric effect on the brain, driving away tiredness and drowsiness with its invigorating properties. With scent and taste closely intertwined in its influence on the human body, using vanilla is sure to deliver a double impact.
Garlic stimulates the flow of blood, meaning better, prolonged performances. Good blood flow also makes a person more sensitive. It is considered a ‘hot’ food due to its heating effect on the body and some studies on its properties also suggest that garlic increases the attractiveness of men’s natural musk to potential partners. Wag lang kalimutan na matinding kumapit sa hininga ang bawang, so be careful at baka layasan kayo ng partner niyo dahil sa amoy ninyo. Tsk tsk
Pepper, whether it may be chili, black, cayenne, etc., encourages the production of endorphins and dilate the blood vessels for improved performance and sensitivity. Capsaicin, the compound that makes peppers spicy, awakens the nerve endings on the tongue which triggers the production of natural opiates.
Ginger increases heart rate and creates a warming effect on the body that mimics sexual desire. Like garlic and pepper, ginger also boosts the flow of blood in the circulatory system.
Turmeric is from the same family as ginger and they are quite similar in appearance except turmeric has a more orange interior. Turmeric also has a milder flavor and are usually sold fresh, dried, or powdered. It boosts dopamine levels in the body, the chemical responsible for eliciting emotions such as anticipation and desire.
Just a reminder, hinay-hinay lang and don’t rely on them to do all the work for you. Utang na loob naman, wag kayong pumapak ng sandamakmak na bawang sa paniniwalang magaala-Magic Mike ang performance ninyo. Chill lang mga beh, you know your partner best and how to get the mood going. Then, just let the romance ensue.
