Pulutan Adventures: Caliraya

Binalak na hanapin si Cardo… Nag-inuman na lang!

The Pulutan Club crew is out to go roughing in the tranquil grounds of Caliraya Lake in Cavinti, Laguna. The man-made lake was built by the Americans to power the near by Kalayaan Hydropower Plant in the 1930s. Its a famous destination for camp and fishing enthusiasts because of its cool and serene weather and the abundance of Black Grouper.

The Challenge was to cook and serve pulutan, good for 10 persons with a budget of only P1,000, and what we had were:

  • Tinapa and Salted Egg Medley
  • Green Mango Enselada
  • Singkamas Sticks with Sweet and Spicy Alamang Dip,
  • Inihaw na Liempo
  • Chorizo Kebabs
  • SPAM Barbecue Cubes

We even bought local lambanog, softdrinks, tanduay rhum, pineapple juice for the cocktails and 2 cases of beer, pero syempre labas na sa challenge yun. Ano kami, Vendetta?

Watch the video on how we prepared each dish and a bonus cocktail mix, we are sure you’re going to enjoy! Cheers!
